The game looks promising, and is set to introduce a new feature that will be included in upcoming Xbox Live Arcade games and several already released Xbox Live Arcade games.
Avatar Famestars is the new feature, first rumored back in February although we didn’t think much of it then. The program looks to reward players who compete against their friends in games.
“Avatar Famestars is a new program from Microsoft Studios and is part of a select group of games that delivers new and exciting ways to play online with your friends and compete for social recognition,” says Microsoft.
The more you do in game the more Famestar points you’ll earn, which you can use on rewards, basically Avatar items. The points and rewards earned will go across games, so the points you earn from everything will be pooled together, similar to Ubisofts UPlay program.
So we know “Wreckateer” will support the program, but what else? Currently released games “Full House Poker” and “A World of Keflings” will support the program. Upcoming games, “Fire Pro Wrestling”, “Homerun Stars” and “Avatar Motocross Madness” will support the program as well.
“Wreckateer” and the Avatar Famestars program launches next week.
