We’re pleased to announce that participants in the 2013 Xbox Live Update Public Beta Program have been awarded an exclusive avatar item on the new Xbox Community Level website! Additionally, participants have been awarded a beta specialization in the Xbox Community Level program, as well as 200 XP.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR LOOT:

  • Log in to XCL with the Microsoft Account and Password associated with your beta Gamertag
  • Once logged in, click on ‘Loot’ in the navigation bar
  • In the lower section of the loot screen, select ‘ Xbox 360 Update Beta’
  • You can claim your beta tokens by clicking the highlighted shirt icon in the beta section, clicking ‘CLAIM’ and following the steps shown on the screen
  • Once you’re received your tokens, you can click on one to redeem it on Xbox.com

Don’t forget that in addition to receiving an exclusive beta item, participants will also receive 200 XP toward their Xbox Community Level!

Halo 4 Achievements Released! (SPOILER ALERT)

In the latest Halo bulletin 343 Industries has revealed the official Achievement
list for Halo 4, that’s right Achievement hunters, feast your eyes on these
beauties.

“Gamerscore, and collecting the breadcrumb-like achievements
that augment that magical number, has evolved into an integral part of gaming.
Developing and designing these game-specific challenges might seem simple but is
quite a bit more complex once you begin digging into the psychology of a game,”
the developer said.

“Our primary goal when creating Halo 4’s achievements
was to reward milestones and increase replay value while balancing both
difficulty and the breadth of game modes. Our secondary goal was to live up to
Halo tradition with weird ass names for some of them (hello, The
Dongblainer!).”

2012 Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta Now Available

With our work on the updated dashboard underway, we’re ready to announce an open call for all Xbox LIVE subscribers to participate in the 2012 Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta.

We need members of our valued community to help us fine-tune this early build of Xbox LIVE. What do you love? What would you like to see improved?

Numbers are limited, so sign up today. If you’re selected as a tester, an update will be pushed to your console once the public beta kicks off. The update will contain select dashboard features, including:

  • Internet Explorer for Xbox
  • Personalized dashboard recommendations
  • Enhanced category search and discovery features

Note: A console in the program is expected to remain fully compatible with standard retail consoles not in the program.

If you would like to participate, please register for the 2012 Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta here.

You will be required to agree to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for confidentiality reasons.

We also ask that you fill out a brief 5-minute survey at the end of the beta, to let us know what you think.

The 2012 Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta is a great opportunity to help the Xbox team by providing early feedback to make Xbox even better.
